In need of a low cost, amplifier module that can be used in many applications where low level signals need to be amplified?
Yes! Then here is our version of the popular LM386 amplifier in kit form.
This easy to build unit has many end applications form amateur radio to microphone amplification to guitar practice amp. Using just 12 components and a professional double sided PCB this kit is suitable for all skill levels and uses. The PCB is approx 2.5" square (+/-) so occupies a very small footprint making it ideal for integration into existing equipment or as a standalone unit.
Power can be from a 'wall wart' style power supply or better yet a 9 volt battery. The low power consumption of the LM386 makes it suitable for battery use.
Our design also offers two versions that can be selected to suit the end use. In its as supplied form the design is set to have the maximum gain  (200x) allowed, however by omitting one component (or making it switchable) the gain can be reduced to make the overall output more controllable before clipping occurs.
